First Aid Response (FAR) Instructor Course

We are holding our first full 2 day FAR instructor course in Dublin on the weekend of the 20th & 21st of May, 2017. ** places are limited**

The prerequisites for this course are:
• A valid CFR instructor certificate
• A valid Responder level FAR/ OFA certificate or evidence of PHECC practitioner registration.

The cost of the course is €595.00, a deposit of €100 to secure your place and the balance paid before the course starts.
This amount includes a First Aid manual, access to online resources, tea/coffee and biscuits and a light lunch each day.

PHECC has designed the First Aid Responder (FAR) standard to offer appropriate training to individuals and groups who require a first aid skill set to include cardiac first response. This standard is designed to meet first aid and basic life support requirements that a person known as a First Responder may encounter.

The program adopts a hand on approach, with plenty of practical instruction along with peer learning and support.
The course assessment process will be by ongoing assessment, including monitored presentations in practical and theory sessions, and an MCQ. The MCQ pass level is 80%

After the course, a period of supervised teaching practice will apply, which typically take the form of; to assist on the first course: part teach the second and deliver the third independently while being monitored.
